This weekend was not exciting at all. AT ALL.  Trust me.  It's almost not even worth blogging about but oh well, here it goes anyway.  On Saturday I did a bit of housework and a lot of artwork (trying desperately to complete on project I have on the go).  For a treat we had Chinese for dinner and watched 'Limitless'.  I'd give that movie a B+.  Sunday we ran some boring errands and did a lot of walking.  Made dinner and dessert at home and that's about all.

Weekend Wrap-Up: Takin' it Easy...

This weekend was not exciting at all. 
However, I did thoroughly enjoy every second of it.
Saturday I did some much needed errands around the house and continued my search for a book I put together of house ideas-I lost it and have been not-so-quietly going nuts over the fact that I lost it. . .
After Phil got home we went out for burgers and a movie.
We saw 'Straw Dogs' and I give it a B-
I guess it's mostly my fault 'cause I was so looking forward to it, that my anticipation may have ruined it a bit for me due to the stiff/somber atmosphere of the overall movie.
Sunday I ran the errands I should have ran on Saturday but was more inclined to go 'cause I had company. . .Phil came with so we stopped in at Cobbs Bakery to receive our free scones (coupons from the Eat Festival) and then headed over to Starbucks to get a Fall Inspired beverage to go with them (Pumpkin Spiced Latte-SOOO GOOD!)
After stopping in at a few more shops, we ended up at home and I continued searching/cleaning the spare room and sadly no book.
But! A very clean and organized spare room.  So I suppose that's a plus in the long run. . .

Weekend Wrap-Up: When the man's away...

This weekend Phil went camping for a friend's stag.  While he was away I took the opportunity to do some painting and finished a few odd tasks around the house (such as hanging pictures in our kitchen).
On Sunday I met my friend K at the lake for some much needed girl time.  After Phil got home we took a walk to the grocery store and stocked up on ingredients to make margherita pizzas (SO YUMMY!!).  It's safe to say we're still addicted to basil...
After dinner we headed on another walk to the movie theater to watch 'Our Idiot Brother'.  
One of the things I love about Phil is his ability to go with the flow.  I didn't tell him which movie we were seeing until the title came up on the screen.  Luckily he liked the movie, as did I.  I give it a solid B if anyone wanted to know the letter grade I'd give the movie...  We heard someone in the theater after the movie let out say 'it's more of a feel-good movie than a comedy...' so take his word for it if you'd like...
