Saturday morning I woke early to meet K for our 2nd annual trip downtown to the Health and Wellness Show. We decided to be smarter this year and opted for a smaller breakfast than last year (stuffed our faces and could barely sample anything - big mistake).
Our loot bag was stuffed just as it was last year but I think the paper pile outweighed the sample pile which I know made K a little sad. My shoulder was pretty upset by the end of the day as well. . .
The products we did try were pretty similar to last year, not a huge difference but I got a lot of reference resources for future design projects which should be helpful. Phil snagged the two mini chip bags before I could take the photo.
A few more treats - the choose your own scent lotion mixed by 'Escents' was neat sample idea- mine is mixed with Ylang Ylang.
A healthy snack, fancy drinks and a nifty napkin message.
My coupon haul. So proud.
My favorite take home - a photo booth print out of K and I bein' goofs

On Sunday morning I made brunch for Phil and I - another 'tradition' we've started and are quite enjoying. No tv or other distractions (minus taking numerous photos) just some delicious food we normally wouldn't have time to make in the morning and the company of one another.
For this particular brunch I made 'Smoked Salmon Nachos'. The recipe was from a magazine cut-out I had from awhile back.
SO YUMMY! Definitely will have to make this dish again! With a few minor adjustments of course. . .

Other than brunch, I worked a bit on an art project, ran some errands and lots of laundry. I'm hoping next weekend will be nicer 'cause I'm itching to play some tennis again!
Come on sun!
