Weekend Wrap-Up: Labour Day Weekend

This weekend was fantastic.  It was the perfect mix of being busy and having enough free-time.  On Saturday Phil and I went to a wedding, which was really beautiful.  I didn't take any photos of the actually wedding so above is a picture of the cookie each person was given as a favor at our dinner places.

On Sunday Phil and I went to Pitt Meadows Airport and had lunch at the cafe while we watched planes take off/land and also watched a bunch of skydivers.  We visited both sets of parents and did a bit of searching for some house furniture (had a rather annoying experience at one furniture store, which resulted in us leaving empty handed...), and watched a couple movies.

Since Monday was a holiday K, Phil and I went to the farm to get the first batch of apples!  The season is behind so there weren't a whole lot of varieties available to choose from but we picked plenty of apples and also some Italian plums.  I picked up a metal star cookie cutter to build up my collection, as well as two pee wee pumpkins 'cause I'm kind of excited for fall and can't wait...
Oh and we also got some apple cider slushees 'cause it's maybe the main reason we went...
Later on Phil and I went to play tennis at a nearby tennis court.  We still need a bunch of practice...
Great weekend.
Now it's back to work...
